About the Department

Department of Management

The Bachelor of Business Administration program is designed to provide competency in basic management, leadership, communication, decision making and problem-solving in organizations with subjects spanning finance, marketing, human resources, information technology, operations and international trade.

The aim of the department is to impart a holistic education to budding managers so that when they graduate they are not only industry and corporate-ready but also life-ready. BBA graduates choose from opportunities including on-campus placement, higher education and entrepreneurship.

Message from the HOD

Dear Students,

Welcome to the department of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at VISAT Arts and Science College. The BBA program is a 3-year full-time degree course affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam. The journey of the department started in the year 2022. Through the years, we have grown our expertise to create a learning environment where management skills, leadership, knowledge, and technology blend together.

We have a semester-based BBA program with specialization in three important areas: marketing management, finance, operation management, and human resource management. Along with theory papers, we have some sessional papers every semester. Visat always believes in giving extra input to our students apart from our regular course curriculum. We aspire to impart knowledge through case studies with an underlying focus on real-world business practice. To relieve stress, tension, and anxiety from our mind we have meditation sessions and games in our regular class schedule. To imbibe the values and ethics in thmindsnd of our students, the department has different activity clubs. They get involved in activities of social relevance. Industriaconsultingcy is one of the big and prestigious projects for our department. The department imparts knowledge and learning environment to the students in such a manner that they can adopt skills appropriate to the demands of the rapidly changing modern business environment.

Students’ engagement at VISAT is our top priority, so we have a unique team of eminent faculty members, industrialists, and corporate professionals who are persistently engaged in disseminating knowledge and providing a learning edge to our students. The systematized group project work makes our department different from others. Our department follows the aim of this institution, which is to inculcate human values and professional ethics in the students so that they can become independent decision-makers and fit into all types of socioeconomic conditions in the near future.

Placement Companies

Placement Cell acts as an interface between the students and the recruiters and is responsible for placement of final year students, providing internship opportunities and grooming the students of all batches.The Cell also conducts various training programs, workshops, seminars and webinars by industry experts, and regularly takes up various initiatives to develop students’ skills and impart knowledge and awareness in multiple areas.

Objectives of the Cell: 

  • To create awareness amongst the students regarding available career options and to help them in identifying their career objective. 
  • To prepare students for campus recruitments by arranging training in aptitude tests, group discussions and preparing them for various interview rounds through professional trainers. 
  • Updating the students with current market trends periodically through various initiatives to prepare for the industry expectation
  • Aiming to place the maximum number of students through campus and off campus recruitments by reputed companies.
