Mechanical Engineering is the backbone of all engineering

The Basic Mechanical Workshop provides foundational hands-on training in machining, fitting, welding, carpentry, and sheet-metal operations. It builds essential mechanical skills and introduces students to tools, materials, and fabrication processes crucial for engineering practice.
This laboratory strengthens understanding of fluid mechanics and hydraulic machines through experiments on turbines, pumps, flow measurement, and hydraulic systems. Students gain practical exposure to fluid behavior and measurement techniques essential in core mechanical industries.
The Machine Tools Lab offers practical training on lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and shaping machines. Students learn various manufacturing processes and the principles of controlled material removal used in component production.
The Mechanical Measurements Lab trains students in precision measurement of physical quantities such as length, mass, angle, pressure, and temperature. It focuses on metrology, instrumentation, calibration, and error analysis used in engineering diagnostics and quality control.
