At VISAT, the Department of EEE empowers students with strong

maintaining electrical, electronic, and automation systems

The department is led by skilled faculty specializing in power systems, control systems, electrical machines, power electronics, renewable energy, signal processing, and automation— ensuring strong academic and practical grounding.
Students are trained in power generation & distribution, electrical machines, power electronics, PLC & SCADA, industrial drives, renewable energy systems, circuit analysis, and embedded control— aligned with modern energy and automation sectors.
EEE offers advanced labs including Electrical Machines Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Circuit Lab, Control Systems Lab, Power System Simulation Lab, Measurements Lab, and PLC/Automation Lab— enabling hands-on experimentation and innovation.
Industrial visits, substation tours, power plant exposure, hands-on hardware projects, PLC/SCADA training, workshops, robotics activities, and expert sessions enhance practical engineering competence.

Lab Instructor
The Basic Electrical Workshop introduces students to wiring systems, safety practices, electrical components, and essential troubleshooting skills. This lab lays a strong foundation in core electrical engineering concepts through fully practical training.
This lab provides hands-on training with transformers, DC machines, and AC motors. Students evaluate performance characteristics, testing methods, and real-world machine applications essential for power engineering practice.
The Control & Simulation Lab trains students in feedback systems, stability analysis, automation, and modeling using tools like MATLAB/Simulink. Learners understand dynamic system behavior and controller design through real-time experiments.
Students experiment with various power converters including rectifiers, choppers, inverters, and DC–DC converters. The lab builds strong skills in semiconductor device operation, switching characteristics, and converter control techniques.
Equipped with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and precision measuring tools, this lab trains students in accurate measurement, calibration, and error analysis crucial for electrical engineering applications.
