Research & Development Cell
Introduction
Research & Development Centre is set up to provide specialized administrative and managerial support for the operation of sponsored research, consultancy and other R&D-related activities of the Institute. The overall R&D structure encompasses an executive committee, faculty research committee and student research committee.
Functions
- To create zeal amongst students and faculty members towards research and innovation.
- To create centres of research in various areas of research.
- To work closely with the industrial needs that eventually will result in new or improved products, processes, systems or services that can increase the company’s productivity.
- To foster collaborations for mutual benefits and to maximize industrial connectivity.
- To establish collaboration with other universities, and public and private sectors and identify R &D projects including consultancy services which could be undertaken at the institution.
- To promote research in various departments of the Institute.
- To ensure smooth functioning and effective management of R&D at the institution
Responsibilities
- The committee shall promote research and development activities by motivating students and members of the faculty to publish research papers
- Motivating them to get patents for their works
- To organize regular seminars and workshops on emerging trends and technologies with a special focus on innovations
- To organize regular industrial training for the students commensurate with market needs.
- To organize regular industrial visits for the students
- To organize a conference on innovations every year.
