PO1 | Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems. |

- Mr. Abhishek Kurien , Eighth Semester received a research internship from Green Building Research Institute, USA for a period of 6 months with monthly stipend of Rs 10,000.00 (2021)
- Ms. Nazlin N., M Tech (GS) won the Best Paper Award in Track 8 of Geological Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering of the 3rd Conference of Arabian Journal of Geosciences. (Nov 2020)
- Ms. Anjali Satheesh, guided by Dr. Hari G. won the Best M Tech Thesis Award from I.G.S Kochi Chapter in November 2020.
- Mr. Philip George Kaithayil (2020) won the L&T Build India Scholarship for fully sponsored admission to M Tech programme and placement offer in L&T after completion of the programme.
- Ms. Harsha Mary Biju, S6 CEA -won the First prize for Online Quiz Competition and Alessandro Anil Mathew, S6 CEA -Runner Up for 3D Drawing competition NIRMAN 21 Organized by NITK Suratkal May14-16, 2021
- Department of Civil Engineering won first prizes for the events ‘Cadathon’ (Autocad drawing) and Paper Presentation Competition and third prize for Canoe Competition in the ASCE National Conference held at VIT Vellore (19-03-2021 to 21-03-2021).
- Ms. Anjaly Ann Joseph (2017-21) received the Chief Minister’s Student Excellence Award 2022 of Rs. 1 lakh.
- Mr. Abhishek Kurian (2017-21) secured admission to a Master’s Programme at Texas A&M University with scholarship.
- Mr. Aswin S. Kumar of Sixth Semester Civil Engineering won the First Prize for the National Road Safety Quiz conducted by Agarwal College, Haryana, from a total of 411 contestants (11-02-2022).
- Ms. Shimol Philip of 2018-21 M Tech Geomechanics and Structures won the Best M Tech Thesis Award from IGS Kochi Chapter (1-11-21).
- Team of students from Saintgits has won six prizes including three first prizes in various events organized by National Transportation Planning and Research Center in connection with the Road Safety Month 2022.
- Team of students consisting of Sherwin K Zachariah (S8 CE), Devesh K Nampoothiri (S6 CE), Ashwin Joseph (S6 CE), Maria Joseph (S4 CE), Reshma Varghese (S8 CE) who qualified in the ASCE India Region Annual Conference organized at Punjab Engineering College during March 2022 were selected to represent India during the Society-wide Final Competition of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Sustainable Solutions, hosted by Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, USA from June 3rd to 5th 2022.
- Ms. Aleena T. Aji and Ms. Ann Marissa of M3 SECM won first and second prizes respectively for paper presentation competition organised by Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Oct 2021).
- Ms. Niranjana S of M4 Structural Engineering and Construction Management guided by Er. Milu Mary Jacob received second prize in the Cost Effective Model Design Competition conducted by Kerala State Housing Technical Cell.

Physics Lab
The physics lab in our college is a dynamic and engaging space where students delve into hands-on experiments and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations. Equipped with state-of-the-art apparatus and modern data analysis tools, the lab fosters a deeper understanding of fundamental physics principles. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, students gain valuable practical skills, conduct experiments across various disciplines of physics, and learn to analyse and interpret data critically. This nurturing environment encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry, preparing students for future research endeavours and careers in physics and related fields. Physics labs are equipped with a wide range of specialized instruments and apparatus designed for various experiments. These may include telescopes, microscopes, oscilloscopes, spectrometers, balances, lasers, magnets, and many other tools specific to different areas of physics
Chemistry Lab
The chemistry lab at our college is a vibrant hub of scientific exploration. It provides students with a hands-on learning experience, allowing them to conduct experiments, observe chemical reactions, and deepen their understanding of chemical concepts. Equipped with cutting-edge instrumentation, safety protocols, and expert guidance, the lab offers a safe and controlled environment for students to explore the fascinating world of chemistry.
